AVA's Middle School Students have the opportunity to attend the 2022 Colorado State Junior Thespian Conference (ThesCon) with our Thespian Troupe 10578. This is an exciting, day-long field trip opportunity for your students if they enjoy theatre and want to learn more about this craft. Students who sign up will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, watch live performances from some of Colorado's best high school performers, and have the opportunity to perform themselves in an individual event. 

If this is something you and your student are interested in, please read the following information carefully:

When is it and w here is it being held?

This year's conference will be held on  Thursday, December 1st from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The conference will be taking place at the  Colorado Convention Center.

What will we be doing?

Students will have an opportunity to participate in various theatre related workshops taught by professionals who work in the industry. Students are also able to compete in an Individual Event, where they can showcase their acting talent and get constructive feedback from a team of professional actors/directors. There will also be the opportunity to work directly  with high schoolers, watch a live performance, and to represent our school at the largest educational theatre event in the state.

Who is allowed to attend?

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader is eligible to attend this year's conference, even if they are not in a theater class.

How much does it cost?

The cost to attend the conference is  $45 per student. This cost includes the admission to the conference and lunch.

How do I sign my student up?

If you are interested in having your student participate in this year's ThesCon, please fill out  this Google form . This form is just to indicate that you are interested. Permission slips and ways to pay the fee will be sent out at a later date to those who are interested.
