The Middle School Student Council and National Junior Honors Society are excited to announce that we will be celebrating Kindness Week! The goal is to foster a positive and uplifting environment throughout the school, and we have planned daily activities to encourage kindness, gratitude, and connection among students and staff.
Here’s what to expect each day:
Monday: Be KIND to Yourself – Students will find encouraging messages on sticky notes placed in bathroom mirrors and stalls to promote self-love and confidence. (
Tuesday: Spread the Cheer – Student Council/ NJHS members will welcome students with high fives at the doors and hold uplifting signs at carpool to start the day with positivity.
Wednesday: Gratitude Well Wednesday – A gratitude well will be set up in the atrium where students and staff can drop notes expressing appreciation for others or things in their lives. The collected notes will be displayed on a gratitude bulletin board.
Thursday: Thinking of Others – Homerooms are encouraged to dedicate 5-10 minutes to a kindness-focused free-write activity to inspire empathy and reflection. Have students write what kindness is to them OR create kindness cards to people around the school.
Friday: Friendly Friday – Student Council will distribute friendship bracelets during morning carpool to celebrate friendship and connection.
