Weekly "Newsletter" From Mrs. Chambless
It's the last week before Thanksgiving Break! Can't believe we only have 5 days left till our next break.

We were finally able to get back on track after the snow days, and are so proud of the student's ability to go with the flow! They did an amazing job at the Veteran's day assembly for only have one full-grade practice time. I am so proud of them! They also enjoyed participating in our Junior Achievement day with the Castle View High School students, it was fun for the students to get information that was from someone closer to them in age! If you didn't get a chance to, ask your student what they liked most about the Junior Achievement Day!

We will be finishing up Unit 3 this week! Students will have their test in science on Wednesday, November 20th! You can find the study guide here - on the AVA website. Students will also be doing an end of unit assessment in reading to show off their reading knowledge. It's good practice for them as our Middle of the Year assessment window will be during the two weeks we return in December!

Last but not least, we have our next field trip coming up!! We will be doing an Animal Adaption Adventure at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on December 13th. Please look for a My School Bucks link coming sometime this week!

Thanks for your continued partnership!

Meet Mrs. Chambless

I am in my 17th year teaching, eighth year at AVA! LOVE it here!  I have taught kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd. I am a Colorado native and love being with my family. My husband, Matt, works as a specialist for Douglas County School District... we are a teaching family!  I have a 12th grader, Allikaye, and twins in sixth grade, Kai and Cambria. We are a busy family and like it that way! We are out playing sports, hiking, traveling, camping, and love being outdoors... Colorado living... especially living in the pines in Larkspur! I love coffee, reading, rainbow colors, smiley faces, and donuts! This is going to be a great year! Thank you for sharing your sweet children with me!!
