Bob Barber
This is my 8th year at Aspen View Academy, and I am honored to be a part of such an amazing school and community. The minute I walked through the front door I knew this was the school for me. I consider myself fortunate to be part of an amazing and dedicated team of professionals who truly put the needs of all students above all else.
My goal for all AVA stakeholders is that you all feel welcome and love coming to Aspen View Academy. Your child should love coming to school every day because they know they will be learning in a safe and caring environment where they know it OK to take chances and to make mistakes. We will have high expectations for our students, but will always provide the resources, tools and support necessary for them to succeed.
This is my 28th year in education, all of which has been spent with schools of choice. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver, my teaching certificate from the University of Denver and I received my Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. I have taught everything from 5th through 8th grades. Each of my previous schools are seen as leaders in the charter school community and we will solidify Aspen View Academy’s reputation as THE school of choice for everyone. I have a proven track record and will never settle for anything except the best. Our stakeholders (parents, students and staff) expect the best and we will provide the best.
I grew up in Connecticut but have called Colorado home since 1989. I live in Castle Rock with my wife, Colleen, who is also a teacher, my son Ryan (UCCS graduate), my son Brendan (senior at the University of the Incarnate Word and D1 Fencer) and my daughter Caitlan (sophomore at the University of Dallas). My oldest son, Christian, graduated college, and lives in Texas and works as a Treasury Management Officer. I am blessed with an amazing daughter-in-law and two incredible grandsons.

I look forward to meeting everyone and being your principal for a long time.
