WEEKLY CURRICULUM:
Parents, I am so excited to be working with your K-5 students as the Character Educator here at AVA! Character is such an important part of who we are and I feel honored to be the person chosen to teach these values to the students. Every month we have a character value that will be focused on. We will start the year with Respect then go into responsibility, empowerment, sharing, patience, excellence, compassion, teamwork, kindness and trustworthiness. The goal is to connect the values and lessons throughout the year even when the value is not the focus of the month. In addition to this, we will also talk about feelings, how we can appropriately deal with situations that come up and how our actions and words can affect others.
Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Rossi and this is my third year here at AVA and my fourth year being here in Colorado. I am originally from Missouri where I also worked with kids in the schools. I have a bachelors degree in mental health and human services. Prior to working in the schools I was a caseworker for adults with mental illness, helping them live safely in the community. I have 2 kids, one here at AVA and the other a sophomore in college. We have 2 dogs who keep us on our toes! In our spare time we love to hike, paddle board and bake goodies.
