Kristen Krieger » K-2 Assistant Principal

K-2 Assistant Principal

With many years of teaching experience in private, public, and charter schools in Colorado, I am thrilled to call the Aspen View Academy community home as I start my 3rd year in School Administration.  I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where our children are valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

About Ms. Krieger

My journey in education began in Englewood Public Schools when I first moved to Colorado in 2004.  Since then it has been a privilege to work with students, teachers, and families at Graland Country Day School, Cherry Creek School District, American Academy, and now Aspen View Academy.  I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.  I am passionate about STEAM education and providing a balanced approach to whole child education (i.e. explicit instruction in social-emotional learning). My goal as an Assistant Principal is to create a school culture where academic excellence and character development go hand in hand.

Vision and Values

At Aspen View Academy, I believe that every child deserves a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where they can share their strengths, persevere through difficulties, and develop a lifelong love of learning.  I am dedicated to working closely with our talented staff to provide guidance and opportunities that help us meet the needs of all students.  I am also committed to building strong partnerships with parents and the wider community, as I believe that collaboration is the key to our student's success.

When I'm not at AVA, I enjoy spending time with my family (often at sporting events), reading, hiking, and cooking.  My supportive husband, Matt, and I have three children (17, 12, and 9 years old) and two Aussiedoodles who keep us on our toes.

I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am always here to support our students, staff, and families.  If you have questions or concerns, I invite you to reach out and partner with our AVA staff in your child's education.  Parenting can be one of the most arduous roles we fill in life and we are here to partner with you on the journey.
