I hope you come to my class feeling inspired, ready to learn, and eager to make music. We will sing, play instruments, and dance every single day we meet. I hope you are as excited as I am.
Letter to Parents and Students
Hi all,
My second year at AVA has been full of so much fun with your young musicians.
I have always loved creating music, and I feel so much joy when I can inspire others to be creative, too. I feel that the music classroom is not a space where perfection is the main goal. Instead, I want to have a classroom full of confident music makers that show up ready to learn, no matter what level they are meeting me at; it is my job, as the teacher to bring this confidence out of our talented learners. By teaching rigorous content, while also creating a safe space for learning, I hope to inspire our musicians.

4th Grade Colorado Time Travelers Performance Information
Your students have been working so hard on their performance, Colorado Time Travelers. They continue to impress me every day that we work on their music. The performance will be on Tuesday, April 29th at 6 pm in the Middle School Gym at AVA. Please have your kids show up and meet me in the elementary school cafeteria at 5:40pm, so that we have time to line up before they go onstage. As for clothing, have them wear uniform bottoms and a top that represents the colors of the Colorado flag (red, white, yellow, or blue).
