Letter from Mrs. Baade
This is my first year at Aspen View Academy. In August I joined the dedicated, fun-loving team of paras and teachers in the first-grade cul-de-sac. I was inspired by the tremendous growth I saw in emerging readers and mathematicians. Outside the classroom, para carline duty afforded me daily glimpses into the wonderful families who make AVA a special community. In January I joined the outstanding middle school team and assumed the 8th Grade Teacher position.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in education. I have taught in traditional and non-traditional settings, homeschooled, coached, and volunteered extensively. This eclectic experience has informed my longtime advocacy for school choice and my passion for education. I am especially thrilled to be teaching the Core Knowledge Sequence.
When I am not at school, I cherish time with family, near and far. You also might find me running on trails, listening to Tchaikovsky, playing almost any sport, watching for Western Meadowlarks, identifying Wild Blue Flax, and devouring literary classics and commentaries on constitutional law.
I am excited to continue working with all of you in the AVA community.
Happy trails to you,
Mrs. Baade
